Fully Guided Base Camp Hunts
All the conveniences of home in a wilderness setting. Guided hunts will access the hunting permit by vehicle, ATV, and foot. 7 day packages include arrival and departure days and 5 full days of hunting. These guided hunts are available on a limited basis. 7 Day packages include Guide, Lodging in our comfortable base camp, Meals, Transportation to the hunting area from camp, and game packing. Meals are served homestyle with hearty helpings of good energy for the days hunt. Your guide will take care of you in the field as well as taking care of packing your game to the main camp where we can take it to the processor or taxidermist if you choose. These hunts are conducted on my National Forest / BLM permit area. This area holds a good population of resident elk and is adjacent to Trophy Unit (GMU) 61. We hunt in a manner that they stay in the area and are not blown out. If you are able to draw a deer tag you should consider concentrating on hunting the Trophy Bucks that frequent this area. A combination hunt is available if you would like to hunt Elk and Mule Deer.
* All deer tags in Colorado are by draw only.
* You should include tips in your hunting budget for your guide (or packer), and cook. The customary tip is 10% – 15% of the price of your hunt. If you have questions about this please give me a call or talk to me at camp – Eric
Elk Rifle and Archery tags are still available over the counter even after the draw in April.
Please call for details about our Fall Mountain Lion hunts. These start in November and run until the unit quota is met. We have 3 hunts available each year @ $5,000.00 Now Booking for 2024.
If you plan on hunting next year please call well ahead of time to reserve a spot.
Thanks – Eric

Excellent hunt. Please use me as a reference. Our guide was very accomodating and more than willing to do what we wanted. I have already given your name to a friend.
